Dr. Malinda Webb

 I have been involved with Mya's Promise since Mary and Jimmy Gonzales wanted to be sure that their daughter, Mya, had as much support as the community could provide. Seeing children with special needs be blessed with scholarships, grants or special programs has made my heart sing. Teachers and therapists for these exceptional children as well as their parents are my heroes. Helping them with additional resources is a wonderful part of what we do. The entire community benefits from inclusivity and helps us all to shine our brightest. The Strickland Park PlayAbility Project is a wonderful place for all. I was humbled to watch the amazing job that the Stillwater High School SMAC group did to make this happen.

Toni Ivey

I arrived in Stillwater in 2009 and my children started attending the Child Development Laboratory shortly thereafter. Through the CDL, I learned about Mya's Promise and their missions to support young children living with different abilities and their families. I was invited to serve on the board of Mya's Promise and I have enjoyed learning more about and serving our Mya's Promise families. When Mya's Promise was selected as the recipient for Stillwater Makes a Change, I was so thrilled to collaborate with the City of Stillwater to help design the PlayabilityProject which has become a showcase playground for Stillwater and the surrounding communities, providing evidence that universally designed spaces for all are a vital part of our community.

Myla Stevens

I joined Mya's Promise after a parent recommended the organization to me. I have always had a passion for children and fell in love with the mission. As a teacher, I see the impact that inclusivity has on a community. Helping children with special needs shine their brightest enhances life for all. With a service heart, I can't help but be excited for the programs, scholarships and grants that have been made possible through this non-profit.
